Automation and traceability - Semolina pasta plant

The project

This project consists of automating and managing traceability of semolina distribution for 7 pasta production lines. More precisely :

• Managing raw materials
• Ensuring the distribution of batch mixing
• Controlling weighing of each raw material
• Ensuring truck’s traceability to the production lines

Customer challenges

For the customer, this project is an automation enabling reduction of operator interventions.

Imperatives consist of ensuring quality of semolina mixing, optimizing manufacturing rates and obtaining upstream and downstream production traceability.

COMECA solution

In response to the customer’s expectations, COMECA supplied the installation’s electrical unit, programmed the PLC (SIEMENS) and programmed an IT solution in a “real time / differed time” architecture (supervision and database management system).

The complete system development has been realized using COMECA IS2I standard modules.
